Presidents Day Archery Competition
Any 4-H youth in shooting sports are welcome to come and try their hand at shooting in a competitive setting. There is a cost involved and prizes will be awarded. If interested go out to the Washington County Shooting park and have some fun. You will be able to buy lunch there for about $6.00 if you want.

Hunter's Ed. Internet class
This class is offered to those 4-H youth ages 11 and up who want to compete through the 4-H Shooting Sports program. The class will start Friday night @ 5:30 pm at the Extension office, on Saturday the shooting test will begin @ 2:00 pm and will be held at Washington County Shooting park. You will need to buy a hunter education voucher from a store that sells hunting and fishing licenses and then go to the web page listed below to complete the on-line portion and remember to print out the quizzes after you answer the questions and bring those quizzes to class. Today we will be practicing 22 rifle shooting. We will be covering breathing skills and sight picture consistency. You will need to bring your 22 rifle, eye and ear protection, a blanket or pad, at least 60 rounds of ammunition. If the weather is bad we will NOT be practicing.

Tonight we will be covering wildlife identification, and safety issues. This is in preparation for our April competition in Logan.
Safety is a huge part of 4-H shooting sports, one can never be too safe. Plan on attending so you will be ready for the YHEC competition.
