Livestock Judging

Livestock judging can be a fun way for youth and adults to gain a better understanding of their animals.

  • What to look for?
  • What is the accepted nom for the species?
  • Wat do we need to do to prepare for the show?

It is good practice for your clubs to judge other animals.  This will build skills in reasoning, perception, knowledge of the type of animal, and communication.  Livestock judging consists of making careful study of animals and measuring them against a standard that is common accepted as ideal.  The links below are a few tools that can be used to learn more.
